How can we as mere citizens hope to address the challenges in our food systems?

When things become unhealthy, unstable, unjust they have a tendency to keep rippling out in that direction. Becoming more unhealthy, more problematic… like a train that’s gathered momentum and is heading off in one direction.

Really, on the whole, we’ve forgotten what food even is to us; its potential. To heal, to delight, to connect, to empower.

In the current system the problems are big and overwhelming.
Yet any positive food act can start a new ripple in the direction of healing.

Rediscovering food beyond shiny packets of convenience.
Reconnecting to food and its power to heal both ourselves and the world around us.

In the latest episode of the podcast I had the delight of spending time with three wonderful women who are beyond inspiring on this topic!

They’re igniting fresh energy to cascade outwards for new food systems built on interconnection, healing & justice.

After collaborating together over a number of decades, Daphne Lambert [Greencuisine Trust], Miche Fabre Lewin & Flora Gathorne-Hardy [Living Justice ] are embarking on ‘A Taste of Change’.

During our full conversation we discuss what the project entails and also glean so much more beside.

We chat about:

🌱 The women behind the project
🟢 The role of art in systems change
🌱 What it means to be a ‘food citizen’
